Things I won’t miss about Bradley

In the next week, I will be wrapping up my time here at Bradley. I will say that the last five (four and half, really) have been great, but there have been some not so great things about them too. And, it’s always easier to write about the bad things than the good things first… So, here’s my top 5 list of things I definitely will NOT miss at Bradley University.

1. Getting stuck inside the Bradley Bubble.

I’m not sure if this happens at other schools (probably) but it seems that once you’re on Bradley’s campus, you have no idea about the outside world. I remember when Hurricane Katrina happened, and my mom said she donated to the cause to help people in New Orleans, and I was like “What? What happened?” and she was bewildered that I had no clue about the hurricane.

2. The Large Format Printer.

If you work in the Service Bureau, you totally know how much I hate the large format printer. My hate for it continues as I leave this campus, and I will not look back or give it a hug or anything.

3. General Education Requirements.

Okay, I know this has nothing to do with Bradley, but I just hated doing the General Education classes in general. I never really took one I liked, and I never did well in any of them. They were just classes we had to take if we wanted our BS or our BA.

4. The Diagonal Sidewalks.

The sidewalks at Bradley seriously lead you in the craziest paths. Being a lazy person, I always cut on the grass because it seemed the fastest and most logical way. I would rather get my shoes a little dirty than have to walk down and back up to take the sidewalk.. Made sense to me!

5. The stinky trees.

Every spring or usually hot fall day, the trees with the white blooms (especially the ones outside of GCC) smelled sooo bad. It seriously always smelt like a toilet. Everyone always says that Peoria smelt bad, but I think it was these trees!
